Located just to the South of Sunriver, the unincorporated community of Three Rivers is 9.5 square miles and sets along the Little and Big Deschutes Rivers. Other rivers in the area are Spring River & Fall River. Boundaries of Sunriver to the North, Highway 97 to the East, LaPine to the South and of course National Forest and Cascade Mountains to the West. Homes are mostly on larger lots with many situated on at least 1/2 acre. Many of the homes in Three Rivers are serviced by septic and well but there are a few subdivisions that do provide community sewer and water (like Oregon Water Wonderland). Perhaps the nicest feature of Three Rivers is its accessibility to the numerous recreational activities Central Oregon is famous for IE Mt Bachelor-ski, cross country ski, hike, snowshoe, snowboard, snow mobiles Cascade Lakes Highway-fish, hike, cycle, horseback, kayak, camp, ATV, mountain bike, stand up paddle boarding. Three Rivers population at last census was 2,500.
